Core-to-Core Program: Advanced Research Network

This program is designed to create world-class research hubs in research fields considered to be cutting-edge and internationally important in Japan. These multilateral hubs are built and operated through sustainable collaborative relations established among research/education institutions in Japan and countries around the world.

Duration From April 2023 through March 2028 (under the FY2023 call)
Project funding Up to ¥18 million per fiscal year
Subject Areas
  • Research topics considered to be cutting-edge and internationally important in Japan.
  • All fields of the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.
Eligibility of applicants
  • Japanese universities and research institution are eligible as a core institution.
  • Each core institution must have one project coordinator. S/he must be a full-time researcher or a researcher positioned as full time at the core institution.

ORA (Open Research Area for the Social Science) Program
