International Fellowships for Research in Japan

For the members of JSPS Alumni Association

Program overview

Duration of Program 14 to 30 days
Candidate Eligibility
  • ž   Be a researcher who has experienced research in Japan under a JSPS program and who has been an active member* of JSPS Francophone Alumni Association for the past 3 years.

*To be recognized as an active member, 3rd annual payment of the membership fee should be completed before December 31 of the fiscal year you intend to apply.

  • ž   Be a researcher who is employed as an active researcher working at a university or a research institute.

Notes:

  • ž   Researchers who have already been supported under this program in either past 5 years are ineligible for this award.
  • ž   In addition to above criteria, Francophone Alumni Association has its own. Please refer to the “Provision” section on this page.
Terms of Award (1)       A round-trip air ticket

(2)       Maintenance Allowance: ¥13,000 per day

(3)       Miscellaneous: overseas travel insurance

(4)       Research support allowance: Up to ¥100,00 (Application is made by the host researcher through his/her institution.)

Application Procedures

The application should be submitted to JSPS Strasbourg Office by email (jsps[@]unistra.fr)

  • Make sure to submit all the required application forms attached to the email.
  • Please specify “BRIDGE 2024” in the subject of your email.

The 2nd call application deadline for the Bridge Program 2024 is moved to January 19.

The 1st call application deadline for the Bridge Program 2024 is January 8 at noon.
